Memory
Memory is your Splixia's personal, persistent understanding of you. It lives at your account level — not inside any repository — so what it learns in one context carries to everything you do.
Four Types of Memory
Fact — Static knowledge about you. "Works at Innovablast. Lives in Amsterdam. Allergic to shellfish."
Insight — Understanding about your preferences and patterns. "Prefers concise answers. Reads bullet points over paragraphs."
Observation — Your current state or context. "Currently shipping the Q2 launch. Had a busy week."
Learning — New skills or knowledge you've picked up. "Learning Rust. Started reading Atomic Habits."
The Memory Lifecycle
Every memory has a strength from 0 to 100%. It changes over time:
- • Born strong. New memories start at 100% — fully active and preloaded into every conversation.
- • Strengthens on use. When Splixia accesses a memory during a conversation, its strength gets a boost.
- • Fades when irrelevant. Unused memories slowly decay. Observations fade faster than facts.
- • Pruned when weak. Memories below a threshold are removed automatically — no manual cleanup.
- • Pinned memories never fade. Mark something as pinned to keep it forever.
Temporal Awareness
Memories can be time-aware — Splixia understands when things happen:
Upcoming events — "Meeting with Sarah on Thursday at 2pm" — surfaces when it's about to happen.
Active durations — "On vacation Mar 10–15" — active during that period, fades after.
Recurring patterns — "Weekly standup every Monday" — always relevant on the day.
Atemporal facts — Knowledge without a time dimension, always loaded.
Semantic Search
Every memory is searchable by meaning, not just keywords. Ask "what do I know about client relationships?" and Splixia finds related memories even if none contain those exact words.
Manage your memory from Your Splixia → Memory. View all entries, pin what matters, and delete anything you want gone.
