Facets

A facet is a persona your Splixia wears. It controls personality, tool access, data scope, and even which model to use — all at once, with a single switch.

What a Facet Controls

Personality — How Splixia talks, what voice it uses, what expertise it draws on. A custom instruction injected into every message in this facet.
Tools — A whitelist of what Splixia can do. Unlisted tools are invisible in this facet — not just disabled, invisible. This is a security boundary.
Memory — Facet-scoped memories are only visible when that facet is active. Keep personal context out of professional facets.

Core vs Facet

Core is the default state with no facet active. Full access to all tools and memories in the repository.

When you activate a facet, Splixia narrows its scope to just what that facet allows. Switch back to Core anytime to regain full access.

Example Facets

Health Coach — Caring and supportive tone. Access to nutrition tools, fitness tracking tools, calendar. Can't access work data.
Code Reviewer — Technical and precise. Access to repo standards, lint tools, git. Opus for deeper reasoning.
Brand Voice — Professional but approachable. Access to brand guidelines, past campaigns, email templates. Can't see internal docs.

Mid-Conversation Switching

Splixia can switch facets during a conversation. Say "switch to code reviewer" and your AI instantly adopts the new persona — tools, memories, and personality all change in one step. Your conversation history stays, only the active context shifts.
